AROMA Flint with toasted cashews and notes of lemon peel.
TASTE A tight and restrained wine with lemony, linear, zesty acidity creamy textures and a wonderfully intense finish.
ENJOY WITH Baked Thai snapper or hard cheeses.
VINEYARDS Selected blocks from Picadilly/Lenswood provided the backbone of this outstanding vintage with their purity and fine linear acid profile. The Central Adelaide Hills contributed to generosity and length to the palate.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS A mild spring was ideal for flowering then summer temperatures below average allowed for optimum flavour development. Subsequent cool nights were ideal for acid retention.
WINEMAKING After whole bunch pressing, juice was filled to new French oak puncheons for 8 months to respect the delicate fruit profile. Limited malolactic fermentation and extended battonage provided texture and mouthfeel.
