Bungalow Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
OVERVIEW A robust, full-bodied wine showcasing the rich fruit flavours and distinct varietal characteristics associated with premium Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa Valley.
COLOUR Deep purple
AROMA Plum and dark chocolate with cedar/mahogany notes.
TASTE A dense wine of brooding dark flavours. Chunky tannin combines with intense plum and chocolate to give a wine that will age gracefully.
ENJOY WITH Rib eye steak with hearty winter vegetables.
VINEYARDS Fruit was selected from three specific blocks in the Rowland Flat and Greenock areas, including the Bungalow Block.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS Warmer than normal conditions brought an early vintage. Yields were down but the fruit showed excellent flavour, colour and tannin ripeness.
WINEMAKING Extended time on skins to extract the natural flavours was followed by 19 months in a combination of new (60%) and old French and American oak.
